Yelena Zangas

A little more than two years ago Yelena Zangas entered the Pinault School of Music with and ardent desire to play the piano.  Her love of music extended her desire to play the flute in the Concert Band at the Shelter Rock School.  The two complimented each other.  Her other interests included a passion for art (encouraged by her mom), the shared camaraderie of being a Girl Scout and a fierce spirit of being a "team player" on the softball field where she throws quite a pitch.

A sincere love of animals has prompted Yelena to vocalize a desire to study the care of them, eventually hoping to become a veterinarian.  On the other hand, Yelena loves to help people, more explicitly children, and would like to become a pediatrician or a teacher.  Needless to say, she has plenty of time to make her decision.  In the meantime, she really enjoys studying the piano with the Bottazzi's as well as creating notable artwork.  The past December, she won the overall art award in the Manhasset Chamber of Commerce's contest for her poster entitled "Winter Wonderland".
