August 2007
Dear Parents and Students: As we approach another musical year we would like to welcome back the regular students of the Pinault School of Music and to welcome into our "Musical Family" all the new incoming students. As in past years, we are getting ready physically and mentally for another wonderful year of learning how to express beautiful music. Our philosophy remains steadfast: we will try to improve our playing and our musicianship in addition to everything else we do in life. We truly hope that this will be another year of achievements and self-improvements for everyone associated with the school. Because we believe in being the best we can be the best in anything we do. What we all know (and what the younger students are learning), is that only hard work, self discipline, and the idea of never quitting is what ultimately counts in everything we do in life. I have witnessed in many of the greatest Universities in the world the phrase "Character before knowledge." As you will
see in the schedule of concerts we are sending with this letter, several
concerts have already been scheduled throughout the year.
Also, as in past years, we are already receiving calls from different
places inviting our best students to perform.
As the concerts are confirmed we will let you know of the dates and
places. Also several of our best
students will be presenting solo recitals. We
encourage you to attend and to support the school and the young pianists. Events
of this nature educate your own children and bring them to a realization of what
a solo recital is all about. On Saturday,
September 8, 2007, from 1pm to 6 pm, we will be having “Open House” at the
school as we do every year. We hope
that all the students will come with their families and friends and perform.
It will be informal, as it has been during the previous years (however - please be well dressed).
We will be making beautiful music together and sharing it with everyone
present. Since it is not a concert
there is no reason to get nervous. We
will not be performing to be judged but only to share something we love to do:
“To make music as we celebrate the
beginning of another musical year” >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
