The Pinault INTERNATIONAL MUSICAL SOCIETY AND School of Music
351 Plandome Road, Manhasset, New York, N.Y. 11030, Tel: (516) 627-7327, Fax: (212) 517-9635 Web sites www.PinaultMusic.com - www.PracticeWithTheMasters.com August, 2008 Dear Parents and Students: As we are about to commence another musical school year I would like to welcome back our regular students of the Pinault School of Music and to also welcome into our “Musical Family” all the new incoming students. Every year at this time we are getting ready physically and mentally for another wonderful year of discovering how to make beautiful music. In keeping with our philosophy, we will try to improve our playing, our musicianship along with everything else we do in life. We earnestly hope that this will be another year of achievements and self-improvements for everyone associated with the school since we believe in being the very best we can be in anything we attempt. What we all know and what the younger students are learning is that only hard work, self discipline and the idea of never quitting is what ultimately counts in life time goals. This confirms what I have seen in many of the greatest Universities in the world - the phrase “Character before Knowledge”. We are adding to this letter our regular schedule, as well as the schedule of concerts coming up during the school year 2008 – 2009. Several concerts have already been scheduled and many others will be posted during the next few months. We will let you know of the dates and places. Several of our best students will be presenting solo recitals. We hope that you can be there to support the school and the young artists while your own child realizes what a solo recital entails. On Saturday, September 6, 2008, from 1-pm to 6-pm, we will hold another “Open House” at the school. We hope that all the students will come with their families and friends and perform. It will be informal, as it has been during the previous years - though, please, be well dressed. We will be making beautiful music together and sharing it with everyone present. Since it is not a concert there is no reason for getting nervous. We will not be performing to be judged but only to share something we love to do: “To make music as we celebrate the beginning of another musical year” >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Your child/children _______________ has been scheduled for his/her regular lesson, as requested, on____________at ____p.m. If your day for the lessons is Monday, the first lesson, due to Labor Day, will take place on_____________, at _________a.m. / p.m. Wishing you and your family a very pleasant ending of the summer vacation and hoping to see you very soon. I am Cordially, Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi, Ph.D., D.M.A. |
